Description

This trip will be conducted through the Hells Canyon Recreation Cooperative{HCRC} with the trip leader being Kristy Canright who is a Spokane Mountaineer. Anyone who wants to arrive Thursday 10/8 is welcome to camp at Pittsburgh Landing Campground and the Forest Service is letting the volunteers camp for free. Kristy will be there Thursday afternoon. Kristy's email is trailkat@icloud.com if anyone has any questions.

1. Meet at Pittsburgh Landing, at 8:00 am on Friday 10/9/26 for a meeting at the parking lot above the boat launch where we will leave cars. Sign all liability waivers and have a safety briefing.

2. The boat will pick us up at Pittsburgh Landing boat launch at 8:30/9am and take the group to camp spot, most likely partway between Pittsburgh Landing and Kirkwood Ranch.

3. Unload gear and tools, set up camp, start on trail work project. Lots of tread work, brushing and tossing rocks off trail. Bring boots, gloves, and sunscreen. Kristy will have poison Ivy wash, but let’s be mindful and watch out for it. You may also come across a snake sunning itself, keep a watchful eye out.

4. Saturday and Sunday we will get an early start, boots on trail at 8:15am, work until lunch break, and quit for the day around 3:15pm.

5. Monday 8:15am start time and work closer to camp, stop around 11:15am, head back to camp for lunch and pack up. We do not have a set pick up time yet, but the plan is between 1-2pm and taken back to Pittsburgh Landing by boat to our cars.
