Description
The club's Wednesday Night Hike series are a great way to get to know us. Guests are welcome to come along, take a hike, meet some of our members, and learn more about our club's great opportunities. Stubblefield Trail is the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge’s longest trail, offering expansive views of the Palouse Prairie a unique rolling grassland known for its deep rich soil. This five-mile, lollipop-shaped route winds through forests, wetlands, and grasslands, providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities and a colorful display of wildflowers in spring and summer. We will hike a moderate pace of 2.0-2.5 MPH to finish by dusk (but bring a light just in case). Leashed dogs welcome (6' maximum leash, no retractable leashes allowed). Kid-friendly hike. Toilet available. AQI over 150 or Red Flag Warning will cancel. Select "follow" to stay informed of any updates. Meet at the Turnbull Visitor parking lot at 5:30 pm.
