Event Registration Wed Night Hike - Day Mountain
The club's Wednesday Night Hike series are a great way to get to know us. Guests are welcome to come along, take a hike, meet some of our members, and learn more about our club's great opportunities.
Meet at Mt. Spokane State Park Bald Knob Parking Lot/Picnic Area for this 6 mile 550 ft vertical gain hike. We will start on Trail 130, then Kit Carson trail to Smith Gap, then 160 for a hot minute before jumping back on 130 to the summit of Day Mountain. Plan on a short break for BYO trail dinner. This trail is well maintained and has gads of huckleberry bushes and a nice view at the summit.
Leashed dogs welcome - if it will be very hot on this day, bring booties as the moondust on the beginning of trail 130 gets very hot.
Kid friendly hike.
Full bathroom at trailhead and privy at Smith Gap.
Smoke, high winds, or excessive heat will cancel.
