Event Registration Wed Night Hike - Mt. Spokane Hay Ridge
The club's Wednesday Night Hike series are a great way to get to know us. Guests are welcome to come along, take a hike, meet some of our members, and learn more about our club's great opportunities.
Meet at Mt. Spokane State Park Lower Kit Carson Lot ("Hairpin" Lot) for this 5 mile 940 ft vertical gain hike. We will start on Kit Carson trail to Smith Gap, then head south to loop around Hay Ridge on Trail 170, ending again at Smith Gap then returning the way we came on Kit Carson. Plan on a short break for BYO trail dinner. This trail is only lightly maintained by the Parks so there may be overgrown vegetation and/or blowdowns to navigate. No views on this hike, but the flora is lovely - thimbleberries galore!
Leashed dogs welcome. Kid friendly hike.
Privy at trailhead and at Smith Gap.
