Spokane Mountaineers Hiking Committee Members
Holly Weiler, Co-Chair
Miles Breneman, Co-Chair
The Hiking Committee organizes and leads backpacks, day hikes, car camps, and snowshoes. Each spring the Hiking Committee helps to organize and run the Mountaineers Backpack School. Look in the most recent Kinnikinnick or on this website for information regarding Backpack School. We are always looking for fun new ideas for events, such as co-sponsored and special theme trips. We have recently co-sponsored trips with Conservation Northwest and Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness and plan a birdwatching theme trip to the Little Spokane Natural area. Other theme and co-sponsored events are currently in the works.
The Hiking Committee gathers trip reports to document the great experiences and fun times enjoyed on Mountaineers trips. If you have recently led a hike, camp, backpack, or snowshoe, please send along a report to Holly Weiler at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The hiking committee also maintains the club's map library. Use the link below to access the map list (use the tabs to show different types of maps). Contact Holly Weiler to see about checking out a club map for an upcoming trip or if you have maps that you would like to donate to the collection. http://spokanemountaineers.org/content/documents/2_Mountaineers'_Maps.xls
